Antique Bronze Buddha

The Laughing Buddha, also known as Budai or Hotei, has its roots in Chinese folklore and Buddhist traditions. Budai was a jovial monk believed to have lived in the 10th century, known for his benevolence and joyous spirit. Over time, he became a popular figure in East Asian Buddhism, symbolizing contentment and abundance.

The iconic image of the Laughing Buddha, with his big puku and joyful countenance, is often associated with good luck, happiness, and prosperity.

In this statue of the Laughing Buddha, hes depicted carrying a big fat cloth sack that symbolizes wealth, and is a cherished symbol of positivity and well-being. Whether gracing homes or temples, these statues continue to spread a message of joy and fulfillment across cultures.
